Machine Learning Engineer

We're the driverless car
company. We believe in building great products to improve people’s lives by
making transportation safer, more accessible, and more convenient. Our team is
small, but we move quickly. In less than a year, we built prototype vehicles
that have logged over 10,000 autonomous miles on California highways. We're
looking for smart, ambitious people to help develop our next generation
products, ensure they’re reliable and safe, and deploy them at scale. We're
looking for a computer vision expert to build core technology around object
recognition, feature detection and tracking, and machine
learning.


RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Design effective and
      efficient feature detection and tracking systems

    • Design, train and evaluate
      various machine learning systems for use in object detection

    • Develop new ways to use
      image features or tracking to improve the mapping and localization
      stacks




REQUIREMENTS


    • BS, MS or PhD in CS, math,
      physics, or similar field

    • Excellent knowledge of
      linear algebra, matrix operations, and image processing techniques

    • Passionate about
      self-driving technology and its potential impact on the
      world




BONUS POINTS


    • Experience with the CUDA
      platform

    • Expert in designing and
      building state of the art feature detectors and trackers

    • Written code for an RTOS

    • Used OpenCV and ROS

    • Experience with SfM, stereo
      processing, and/or multiview reconstruction
